The local train is exclusively for Peruvian passengers. This is the most economic one, since it is not very comfortable and many passengers are standing with their luggage in the corridors. Tickets for this train are available at the train station of Wanchaq in Cusco and the train station of Ollantaytambo. We do not have information about the schedule and availability for this train and we also do not sell these tickets. In some sales points it is necessary for the passenger with a Peruvian identity card to be present. All information can be acquired through Peru Rail.
Buying tickets of either company is pretty straight forward thanks to the different ways provided for their purchase.
Have a great trip!
